Characteristics of complex non-crystalline chalcogenides from the Ge-As-S-Se-I system

In the first part of the paper we summarize the results of our research in technology of obtaining complex five-component non-crystalline glasses of the Ge 2 0 As 1 4 (S 0 . 5 Se 0 . 5 ) 6 6 - x I x type. In the second part ofthis paper we report results from studying general mechanical, thermal, spectral and optical properties of these complex amorphous materials.
