Influence of Rolling Schedule on Texture of Cu–Be2 Bronze

1999
Texture changes on both the surface and inside of sheets of Cu-Be2 bronze with the deformation rate and mechanical schedule of rolling, applied as thermomechanical treatment, were investigated. The thermomechanical treatment was performed as follows: quenching+primary aging + cold rolling+secondary aging. The cold rolling was carried out according to two deformation schedules (with different intensity of deformation) and with two deformation rates. It established that the mechanical schedule of rolling has an influence on surface texture only at a small deformation rate. At high deformation rate of 5 s -1 the texture orientation is {110}. However, at a low deformation rate of 0.73 s -1 , the mechanical schedule with a high intensity of deformation leads to a {100} texture on surfaces of sheets, as were in thicker layers the {110} prevails. Secondary aging at 270°C has no influence on the intensity of texture components.
