The invention discloses an ethylene-DPP (Dipeptidyl Peptidase)-based copolymer with a big circumference ratio (pi) as well as a preparation method and an application thereof. The copolymer is shown in the formula I. The provided polymerization process has the advantages of being simple, efficient, wide in raw material supply, low in synthesizing cost, good in universality, high in repeatability and the like, thereby being popularized into the synthesis of other various substituent ethylene-DPP-based copolymers with the big circumference ratio (pi). When a polymer semiconductor material serves as an active layer for preparing OTFTs (Organic Thin Film Transistors), the migration rate and the switching ratio of the OTFTs are very high, wherein the maximum migration rate (mu) is 2.15cm /(v.s); the switching ratio is greater than 106. Thus, the copolymer material has a good application potential in the OTFTs. The formula I is shown in the specification.
