The base material is prepared by mixing and stirring the following raw materials in parts by weight: 30 to 50 parts of fine sand, 30 to 50 parts of mixture composed of blast furnace slag and steel slag according to a mass ratio of 3:1, 5 to 15 parts of meta-kaolin, and 2 to 5 parts of cement clinker. According to the preparation method, blast furnace slag is used to replace cement as the main gelatinization raw material of terrace, the preparation cost of terrace is reduced, the wastes are converted into valuable resource; high hardness steel slag is used to replace aggregate such as broken stone, cobblestone, and the like, the wastes are utilized, the wear resistant property of base material is enhanced; the production technology is simple, toxin-free, and harmless; and the terrace base material has the advantages of high wear resistant property, high luster, difficulty in generating dusts or sand, short maintenance time, and excellent decorative effect.
