delivered.4 The myocardial necrosis that resulted from the administration of multiple endocardial shocks in our patient may have contributed to the development of left-heart failure that occurred a few days after the shocks. Further studies are required to evaluate the hemodynamic effects of endocardial shocks in humans. However, caution should prevail with this experimental procedure of treatment in patients with severely impaired ventricular function.
