Membrane Fouling and Cleaning in MBR for Treatment of Chemical Wastewater

Through investigating the operation of MBR in practical projects,features of membrane fouling and cleaning methods in treatment of chemical wastewater were summarized.Chemical cleaning with NaClO and HCl is the most effective way to remove membrane fouling caused by inorganic and organic materials.Inorganic fouling is closely related to the essential features of local water,while organic fouling is closely related to the fluctuation of the influent quality.Therefore,necessary prevention measures should be taken according to the fouling cause to ensure that MBR operation is economic and effective.
