An improved method for estimating the dynamic properties of materials

In industrial products, vibration and noise are often major parameters that need to be taken into account. It may be necessary to measure material properties, such as stiffness and damping that determine how vibrations are generated, transmitted and damped. This article describes a procedure which will allow the standard method for the determination of complex modulus to be used at higher frequencies than otherwise possible.
