Automatic storage device of hybrid storage

2008
A hybrid storage has stepped guides corresponding to the wheel widths of various two-wheeled vehicles, so that the storage can store bicycles and mini-motorcycles in a mixed manner. A conveyance section for a vehicle to be stored is formed in a small-scale unitized frame structure and is provided at the center of three blocks shown by the side view on the left of the drawing. Storage sections are formed on the left and right sides of the conveyance section. To store a vehicle in the storage, the vehicle is placed in a space in front of a receiving gate of a lower stage of the conveyance section with the front wheel of the vehicle inserted in a groove guide and then the vehicle is put on standby. When the user touches for registration a fingerprint sensor located on a front panel, a storage gate is raised and opened. When the end of the front wheel of the two-wheeled vehicle is inserted into a tandem mounting carriage of a towing lift, the vehicle is mounted in position by a belt feeder that holds the vehicle from both sides. The storage gate is raised and closed and the towing lift is conveyed to a designated storage base position. In order that the storage becomes ready to receive the storage base when the fingerprint sensor is touched by the user for registration, the front end of the storage base in a downwardly tilted attitude designated by simultaneous operation is kept horizontal by lifting and driving operation of a hook, and the vehicle is accepted into the storage base from the towing lift. After the receipt of the vehicle into the designated storage base from the towing lift is completed, the forward end of the storage base is returned to the downwardly tilted attitude and the vehicle is stored. To unload the stored vehicle from the storage base to the towing lift, the forward end of the storage base is raised, and the stored vehicle is returned to a mounting carriage by rotating and sliding the wheels of the vehicle.
