Qualitative analysis and comparision between domestic and imported tamoxifen citrate tablets

Aim To compare the quality of domestic and imported tamoxifen citrate tablets(TCT).Method Referring to Chinese pharmacopoeia(colume II,2005),the character,identification,weight variation,content uniformity,dissolubility and the content of domestic and imported TCT were determined by UV spectropholometer respectively.Result Statistical analysis showed that there were no significant difference in the identification and the dissolubility between domestic and imported TCT,but there were significant differences in the weight variation,content uniformity,dissolubility and the content.Conclusion Both the domestic and imported TCT are meet the requirements of quality standard.
