General Procedure for obtaining biocatalysts comprising the immobilization of enzymes during the synthesis of metallo-organic materials. # The present invention provides a general method for obtaining biocatalysts comprising in-situ enzyme immobilization intercrystalline mesoporosity formed by the aggregation of nanocrystals during synthesis of a metallo-organic material (MOF). The process of the invention allows a high enzyme content on the support, minimize the reduction in catalytic efficiency in relation to the same free enzyme and reduce losses by leaching, resolving thus identified limitations in the methods of obtaining known biocatalysts based on the immobilization of enzymes in situ. The invention also relates to biocatalysts directly obtained by the process.
