Journey through the Universe – Taking Underserved Communities to the Frontier

In 1999 Challenger Center for Space Science Education launched Journey through the Universe – an initiative to establish a national network of underserved communities committed to sustainable, community-wide science, mathematics and technology education. Funded by grants from NASA’s Human Exploration and Development of Space Enterprise and Office of Space Science, Journey through the Universe uses human space flight and space sciences to engage entire communities within a multidisciplinary context.
