Precipitação Efetiva nos Períodos Chuvoso e Pouco Chuvoso em um Fragmento de Mata Atlântica, Recife — PE

2012
The purpose of the present work was to study net precipitation in two periods, rainy and less rainy, in a fragment of Atlantic forest in Recife-PE, to find out whether the seasonal variation interferes directly in the amount of rain that reaches the soil surface. The amount of net precipitation was obtained by the sum of throughfall, stemflow of superior stratum and stemflow of sub-forest, in which 24 interceptometers, 20 trees of the superior stratum and 10 of sub-forest were used, respectively. The results obtained allowed to observe alterations in the net precipitation during seasons. For the rainy and less rainy period, the net precipitations were respectively 1106.1 mm and 291.5 mm, corresponding to 95.8% and 74.0% of the gross rainfall. During the rainy period, net precipitation was represented by 93.3% of throughfall, 0.5% stemflow of superior stratum and 2.1% stemflow of sub-forest, while in the less rainy period the percentiles were 72.1%, 0,3% and 1.7%, respectively
