TUNING AND MEASUREMENT OF THE 35 MEV BEIJING PROTON LINAC

The tuning results and experiences with the Beijing Proton Linac are summarized. Some problems, including the effect of input energy divergence on the output beam waveform, the effect of rf power on the output beam current, the calibration method of an energy analyzer with uniform field, the measuring condition of beam emittance by means of "three beam width method" etc. are discussed quantitatively. The application to research of the BPL is briefly reported.
