Message Dissemination in OUSNs with Mobility-Irregular Nodes

In this chapter, we study the message dissemination problem in the OUSNs comprised of floating nodes which move irregularly. We first formulate an irregular mobility model to simulate the random movements of floating nodes, and then propose an Opportunistic Forwarding Algorithm based on Irregular Mobility (OFAIM). In OFAIM, the dynamic communication paths are intermittently computed and chosen for the data message dissemination. Especially, the contacting probabilities between nodes are estimated according to current statuses of nodes.
