Radar Target Recognition of Ballistic Missile in Complex Scene

In modern warfare, the defense of ballistic missile is an important task of air defense warning, and radar-based target recognition is the core of defense. In this paper, the recognition of ballistic missile based on target dynamic RCS sequence is studied, and the dynamic RCS sequences of seven true and false targets are simulated. The simulation process takes the motion trajectory and micro-motion characteristics into account. Then, we extracts ten statistical features of the sequence. The SVM algorithm and BP neural network algorithm in machine learning field are used to identify the targets. The simulation result shows that the BP neural network algorithm has higher recognition rate than the SVM algorithm.
