Design of a Miniature High-Pass Filter Using LTCC Technology

2018
A miniature high-pass filter using the stripline structure with low temperature co-fired ceramic technology is presented. A lumped element circuit model is used to synthesize the designed filter, and the full-wave simulator HFSS is used to finalize the design. Experiments have been used to verify the design. And the measured prototype shows good performance, including a compact size, light weight, high selectivity and low insertion loss. The size of the fabricated prototype is $ 10\mathrm {m}\mathrm {m}\times 9.86\mathrm {m}\mathrm {m}(0.268\lambda_{0}\times 0.265\lambda_{0})$, where $\lambda_{0}$ is the free-space wavelength at the cut-off frequency 8.05GHz. The investigated filter can be a promising candidate for wireless systems.
