Akrep Sokmalarinda Doksazosinin Etkinliği; Çocuk Olgu Sunumu Effectiveness of Doxazosin in Scorpion Stings; Child Case Report

Summary Cases of scorpion stings in emergency populations can be fatal, especially in children, due to complications affecting the heart, respiratory, and neurological systems. Heart influences can be seen as a result of stimulation of alpha receptors. An alpha receptor blocker, doxazosin, can be used for treatment of all cases with cardiac influences. We aimed to present a 1-yearold patient presenting with a scorpion sting with pulmonary edema who was successfully treated with doxazosin.
