Practice on Construction of Special Database of Rare Collection Newspapers and Periodicals — — — Take ROC Newspapers and Periodicals Database of Peking University Library as Example

Peking University library has plenty of rare newspapers and periodicals of Republic of China. ROC news- papers and periodicals database will be constructed by different stages. The first phase of rare and scarce newspapers and periodicals has been finished. Its overview and system software , data process and test maintenance work are in- troduced also , and then recommends : when library constructs newspapers and periodicals database , librevry should attach importance to prophase preparation , interim check and later period maintenance.
