Biferroic properties of Fe-doped Ba(Ti,Zr)O3 materials

Abstract The biferroic properties of Fe-doped Ba(Ti0.8Zr0.2)O3 materials were obtained. The random incorporation of Fe cations into the host lattice of the Ba(Ti0.8Zr0.2)O3 materials reduced the optical band gap and exerted a strong influence on ferromagnetism at room temperature. The nonlinear polarization electric of the host Ba(Ti0.8Zr0.2)O3 materials remained even after the introduction of Fe cations. This work is importance because it extends the function of Ba(Ti0.8Zr0.2)O3 materials to smart electronic applications.
