METAZOÁRIOS PARASITAS DE Pterygoplichthys pardalis (CASTELNAU, 1855) (OSTHEICHTHYES: LORICARIIDAE) DE LAGOS DE VÁRZEA DO RIO SOLIMÕES ENTRE MANAUS E COARI, ESTADO DO AMAZONAS, BRASIL

Foi analisada a fauna parasitaria de 85 Pterygoplichthys pardalis, 40 machos e 45 femeas, capturados em quatro lagos de varzea durante os meses de marco, junho, agosto e outubro de 2007. O comprimento padrao medio foi de 19,13,8cm e o peso medio de 145,574,5g. Foram coletados 183 parasitas: 40 individuos de Dactylogyridae, um Dolops geayi e tres larvas de Nematoda nas brânquias; 37 (29,4%) metacercarias de Diplostomum sp.1 nos olhos; 26 (8,2%) metacercarias de Diplostomum sp.2 e seis adultos de Megacoelium spinicavum no estomago; 26 (8,2%) metacercarias de Diplostomum sp.3 nas gonadas; 44 (25,8%) Gorytocephalus sp. no intestino Os maiores indices parasitarios ocorreram na vazante. Nao houve correlacao entre o comprimento padrao e abundância de parasitas. Abundância, diversidade, e dominância nao apresentaram diferencas significativas (p = 0,06, p = 0,98, p = 0,0719 respectivamente).%%%%The parasitic fauna of 85 individuals of P. pardalis was studied. Forty males and 45 females were captured at four floodplain lakes during the months of March, June, August and October of 2007. No parasite species showed significant correlation between the standard length and their abundance.
