Divertículos medioesofágicos: de incidentaloma esofágico a causa poco habitual de disfagia

2018
We present the imaging features of the esophago-gastro-duodenal transit from a patient admitted for acute pancreatitis who showed dysphagia. Esophageal diverticula are an infrequent and usually acquired pathology. They are usually asymptomatic, and in case of symptoms, dysphagia is the most frequent one. Mid-esophageal diverticula are associated with esophageal motor disorders, but it is not known whether the motor disorder is primary or secondary to the presence of the said diverticula. Since they are usually asymptomatic, their diagnosis is usually accidental and do not require treatment
