Highly Stable Mesoporous Aluminosilicates with a Dual Pore System: Simultaneous Formation of Mesophase with Zeolitic Building Units

2009
Highly stable Al-MCM-48 with zeolitic secondary building units (SBU) and varied SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 were synthesized by direct hydrothermal methods using tetraethylammonium hydroxide (TEAOH) as the SBU promoting agent. Porosity characterization by hyperpolarized (HP) 129 Xe NMR spectroscopy revealed the existence of two distinct types of pore system with unique micro- and mesostructures.
