New Melanoma Staging: Prognostic Factors

Staging is a critical tool to assess the prognosis of patients and to assist physicians in making clinical decisions in everyday clinical practice. The new eighth edition of the AJCC (American Joint Committee on Cancer) melanoma staging system was introduced into clinical practice on January 1st, 2018, bringing many changes in every disease stage compared with the seventh edition (introduced in 2009 and implemented in 2010).
