WAKAF LINGKUNGAN HIDUP DALAM RANGKA PELAKSANAAN PEMBANGUNAN BERKELANJUTAN DAN PENEGAKKAN KEADILAN ANTARGENERASI

This article provides an overview of environmental waqf and its relation with sustainable development and intergenerational equity. Waqf is one Islamic legal instrument to deal with the problems of the ummah, one of which is the environmental issue that is related to sustainable development and  intergenerational equity. This research is done qualitatively with the analytical descriptive design. The result shows that environmental waqf is able to balance the development as well as the sustainability of environment that lead to environmental sustainable preservation and intergenerational equity, where future generation is still in the same level of utilization with the present generation, in terms of the variety of choices, quality, and access to natural resources.
