[Distribution of radiothallium in organs and tumors in mice (author's transl)].
1981
Radioactive thalliums were produced by irradiation of the HgO target in the cyclotron with a 16 MeV deuteron beam through the nuclear reaction Hg (d, xn) T1.
The distribution of T1 in various organs of mice after iv injection of TlCl was determined. The uptake of T1 by heart was greater than 20 D%/g at the end of 10 min after iv.
The uptakes by sarcoma-180, melanoma, uterus carcinoma-27, brain tumor-22, and Ehrlich’s carcinoma transplanted sc were 1-3 D%/g. The uptake of Ehrlich’s carcinoma transplanted in liver and lung of mice was 2-3 times higher than that transplanted sc. The uptake expressed interms of volume-1 of the tumor would be higher than that of the lung.
No significant difference between the uptake of TlCl and TlCl3 in myocardium and melanoma was observed. After iv of TlCl or TlCl3, only Tl+ was found in the blood, urine and stool.
No obvious difference between the distribution of 200Tl, 201Tl, 202Tl in mice was seen.
