The oral heterotopic gastrointestinal cyst is an uncommon pathology which ethiology remains incertain. Several theories have been proposed. The typical place of presentation is the anterior portion of the tongue. It can cause difficulty in speech, swallowing and respiration. We present the case of nine year-old girl that suffered recurrence of the cyst seven years after surgery.
