Effect of Aluminum Content on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of High-Entropy AlxCoCuNiTi Alloys
2021
Five-component high-entropy AlxCoCuNiTi alloys at x = 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, and 1.0 melted in a vacuum arc furnace have been studied. The effect of the aluminum content on the structure, phase and chemical compositions of alloys, Vickers hardness and the friction coefficient in wear tests has been determined. It is shown that aluminum affects positively the structure and wear resistance of the Alx CoCuNiTi alloys.
