Low-smell low-radiation glass fiber enhanced polypropylene composition and preparation method therefor

2015
The invention discloses a low-smell low-radiation glass fiber enhanced polypropylene composition and a preparation method therefor. The method comprises the following steps: polypropylene, an anti-oxidant, a lubricant and a coating agent are mixed and added in a double screw extruder, then functional monomers and an initiator diluted by a diluent are added through a micro-injection system, activation grafting is carried out through supersonic waves, finally, glass fiber and a VOC extracting agent are added from a side feed inlet successively, fusion plasticizing, extrusion and granulation are carried out. Production links in the industry chain are reduced, energy is saved, and the cost is lowered. The initiator peroxide application amount is reduced, the initiator residual smell is reduced, rapid finishing of the grafting reaction process can be promoted, and excess degradation of polypropylene can be controlled. Through addition of a VOC extracting agent and extraction of a plurality of vacuum openings at the tail end of the extruder, thus generated micromolecules and the unreacted monomers and initiator during the extrusion process are expelled thoroughly, therefore peculiar smell is reduced greatly, and the low-smell low-radiation glass fiber enhanced polypropylene is prepared.
