In an evaluation of the physiological differences in drought tolerance between maize (Zea mays L.) and sorghum (Sorlhum bicolor), the occurrence of a white way bloom on sorghum leaves and leaf sheaths is a remarkable and obvious difference. This bloom comes off easily as a powder. Such a film can be seen as filaments under a light microscope.....
