Causes and Countermeasures of Errors Made by Kazak Students in Learning Chinese Complements

2004
Kazak students often make errors in learning Chinese complements. The major causes lie in:mother tongue interference, inappropriate associations and analogies, misleading of textbooks and inadequate explanation of teachers. In order to avoid making these errors, the following countermeasures should be taken:teachers should compare the two languages and study the second language acquisition theory so as to have a clear mind of the important points and difficult points in teaching; in compiling textbooks, we should balance between grammatical structures and functions; we should create a context for students to learn the living language; we should investigate students' learning process to gain first-hand information, and through a dynamic analysis, to find out students' common characteristics. In this way, we can teach in accordance with students' need.
