A maxillomandibular record for a removable partial denture by using polyvinyl siloxane and the metal framework: A dental technique.

Abstract The accuracy of the maxillomandibular record influences the relationship of the definitive cast and therefore the success of a prosthesis. This article describes a technique in which polyvinyl siloxane is used to both stabilize a removable partial denture on the edentulous ridge and being the recording material itself. The technique is practical and time efficient, allowing the clinician to perform this step in a single appointment.
