Design of Double CPU Communications in the Aero-engine Digital Control System

2008
Combining characteristics of the technical development of earo-engine control, this paper presents a real-time and high-speed control system based on a double CPU structure (DSP and 386EX processor), in which communications can be realize by Dual-Port RAM. The interface circuit between Dual-Port RAM IDT7024 DSP and 386EX processor is designed, and three methods are discussed to prevent the conflict of the Dual-Port RAM. Finally, the hardware-in-loop simulation is accomplished based on the on-board real-time adaptive model. Flow chart is given according to the arbitrated access to the data exchanged between both sides.
