Cyclotron line search: BATSE‐Ginga consistency

We have adopted a new Bayesian comparison of hypotheses regarding the consistency between the Ginga detections and BATSE nondetections of absorption features. The apparent discrepancy between the two instruments is insufficient to lead us to conclude there are serious deficiencies in either instrument. We therefore conclude there is no inconsistency.
