Flexible humidity sensor based on PEDOT films

2017
The hybrid layer based on poly-3,4-ethylene-dioxythiophene(PEDOT)-multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) on the flexible polymer substrate is proposed as sensitive element to creation of humidity sensor. The current-voltage characteristics of the obtained films have been studied. It is shown that increasing of the content of carbon nanotubes in the composite leads to decreasing of the resistance of hybrid films. Increased electrical resistance of nanocomposite under influence of moisture was manifested. To determine the work characteristics of future device a sensing ability of polymer-CNTs films as function of the water-vapor concentration was evaluated and the temporal parameters of humidity sensors was established. A highest sensitivity of the composite films is observed within the humidity region 80–100%.
