The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for manufacturing an insulation assembly. According to this method and with this apparatus, multiple sections of mineral fibers (37) are moved along a conveyor system (16) which defines a predetermined path (15), after having been cut according to required dimensions. A section (37) having a major surface is moved substantially perpendicular to the path (15) sections (37) below, having its major surface held in a plane parallel to the major surfaces of the following sections. Multiple sections (37) single pass through a coating module (20) wherein they are assembled and coated to form the insulation assembly.
