Efeitos do Programa Inovar-Auto sobre a indústria de veículos no Brasil

This study analyzes the effect of the Inovar-Auto program on severalindicators of the vehicle industry in Brazil, seeking to contribute to the national literature on the effectiveness of tax incentives. Impacts on vehicleproduction, employed persons, cost of industrial operations, fixed assetsand added value were investigated. The impacts captured on production and fixed assets werenot robust. On the other hand, the impact on added value was negativeand there are indications of negative effects on employment and costs.
