RESOLUTIONS OF AMERICAN SURGICAL ASSOCIATION ON NURSING PROBLEM

To the Editor:— The following report was submitted to the American Surgical Association, was accepted and a resolution was adopted. A motion was also passed that these should be given as wide publicity as possible. This report was prepared after a questionnaire had been submitted to the entire membership of the American Surgical Association. It represents the consensus derived from the answers, as well as from letters from nursing superintendents, hospital administrators and others. Report on the Nursing Problem to the American Surgical Association Since our last meeting your committee on the nursing problem has endeavored to fulfil its functions as a fact finding body. To this end a questionnaire was mailed to each of you. Approximately two hundred of these were returned, together with a large number of letters.
