The invention discloses a sight tracking and human eye area-of-interest positioning system. The system comprises image acquisition equipment, a hardware platform and display and output equipment, the image acquisition equipment comprises an infrared human eye camera and a foreground camera, the output end of the infrared human eye camera and the output end of the foreground camera are connected with the input end of the hardware platform, and the output end of the hardware platform is connected with the input end of the display and output equipment; the hardware platform comprises a storage unit and is based on an FPGA and a dicaryon ARM9 processor; the infrared human eye camera is used for shooting a human eye pupil image and transmitting the image to the hardware platform in real time; the foreground camera is used for shooting a human eye sight area image and transmitting the human eye sight area image to the hardware platform in real time. By means of the mapping relation between the pupils and a mark point of the sight tracking and human eye area-of-interest positioning system, a fixation point/a point-of-interest of the human eyes in the sight area image can be determined, and the sight tracking function is achieved.
