Displaying and analysing DICOM waveforms on Java based cell phones and PDAs

Since mobile devices such as PDAs or mobile phones are no longer restricted to run native applications but are also capable of running Java applications, the demand for platform independent applications is growing. However, some devices running a Java implementation are not powerful enough to analyse DICOM waveforms directly but need to contact a server machine to delegate this complex tasks. In order to overcome the weakness of common GSM wireless networks we use high-speed wireless networks to accomplish the analysis of waveform objects on mobile devices.
