EQUIDADE: SABERES E FAZERES NA EDUCAÇÃO E SAÚDE PROMOVENDO A PAZ 1 EQUALITY: KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE IN EDUCATION AND HEALTH TO PROMOTE PEACE

This article explains the introduction to teaching of seven students who apply the active methodology to a multi-professional group of nineteen female students of the Professional Master’s in Health Education at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. This methodology aimed at sensitizing the group for education towards peace. The project is based on the principles of the book ‘Sentipensar’, by Moraes and De La Torre (2004), which was studied in the subject ‘Health Education for the Unified Health System’ in order to support the development of a pedagogical action that connects knowledge to the ecosystemic paradigm. Practice and reflection upon a pedagogical action based on the peace topic, in the context of Health Education, is found here. Education for peace in the context of Health Education and sensitizing for the exercise of equality as an applicable principle at the Unified Health System in Brazil is raised.
