Champion proved to be a better product than Champ Flowable in terms of Walnut blight control and reduction of buds being infested with blight bacteria. Phytotoxicitywas heavy regardless of treatment. Over half of the orchards surveyed revealed the presence of copper resistant blight bacteria which correlated well with the growers incidenceof walnut blight in 1989.
