Parallelisation of Pressure Correction Method on Unstructured Grids

Publisher Summary The present study concerns with the parallelization of pressure-correction method on unstructured grid. An edge-based, cell-centered, finite-volume numerical procedure forms the basis of the investigation. The SPMD programming environment is adopted and MPI is employed to handle the communication among distributed processor units. The present implementation adopts the linked list and experiences indicate that the pointer links for unstructured grids provide good flexibility when compared to conventional approaches using array indirections. Experimental results indicate good scalability of the parallel implementation, though degradation of the parallel performance was observed at smaller problem size.
