Mop grasping device

PURPOSE: To provide a mop grasping device in which a sheet-shaped mop excellent in lightness, workability, mop loading/unloading performance is grasped to be used for cleaning. CONSTITUTION: This device comprises a grasping device body 1 of a hollow structure integrally molded of aluminum or the like, a pair of flaps 2, a mop supporting pad 3 made of an elastic material as fastened on the bottom part of the grasping device main body 1, a rotary fulcrum at which the pair of flaps 2 are retained and supported on the grasping device main body 1 in such a manner as to be openable or closable while the flaps 2 overlap the grasping main body 1 mostly as being closed and a stopper 10 for retaining which is provided to either or both of the grasping device main body 1 or the flaps 2 while grasping a sheet-shaped mop 9 closed. Then, the flaps 2 have a jutting part thereof inserted into a recess of the grasping device main body 1 and provided openable or closable on both sides of the grasping device main body 1 with the fulcrum for rotation engaging a retaining part and both side end parts of the sheet-shaped mop 9 are grasped among the flaps 2, a bottom surface for keeping the mop and a rib of a stopper.
