Kinetic Study of The Catalytic Decomposition of Hydrogen Peroxide Over (Cu(II)Fulvate) Complex As a Catalyst

The kinetics of H 2O2 catalytic decomposition over [Cu(II)Fulvate] complex as a catalyst was investigated. The effect of different concentration of H 2O2, different amount of catalyst and different temperatures were studied. Based on the rate constants obtained at different temperatures, the empirical Arrhenius expression of H2O2 decomposition was derived. The reaction was further studied and the values of E, ∆H, ∆G and ∆S were determined, it’s well described by an autocatalytic first order equation.
