Selection of Solid Culture Medium of Gliocladium spp.

Some characteristics of culture and spore production of three strains of Gliocladium spp.((GW-)1-1,HL-2-1,GJ-1-1) were studied on six different solid culture media.Results showed that all the three isolates grew well on the six solid culture materials while sporulation varied distinctly.The B solid culture medium,consisting of cotton-seed shell,bran and soybean meal, was the best one for sporulation and culture of all the three isolates.Numbers of spore production of isolates GW-1-1,(HL-)2-1 and GJ-1-1 on this medium were 6.98×10~8/g,8.27×10~8/g and 5.38×10~8/g respectively.The materials of the B culture medium are so economical and easy to be obtained.It was suggested that the B culture medium be an excellent culture medium.
