RELACIONES ENTRE EMOCIÓN Y PROCESOS BÁSICOS: PRINCIPALES HIPÓTESIS Y ESTUDIOS

La emocion es una respuesta del organismo para adaptarse al entorno. Su estudio es posterior al resto de los procesos psicologicos basicos en el paradigma de la Psicologia Cognitiva. Con su incorporacion comenzo el interes por la interaccion entre cognicion y emocion. El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar las principales hipotesis y resultados de estudios que plantean esta relacion. Se concluye que los estudios de este tipo resultan importantes para una adecuada comprension del sistema cognitivo humano asi como del funcionamiento psicologico de individuos con problemas emocionales de ansiedad y depresion. Palabras clave Emocion, Memoria, Atencion Abstract RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN EMOTION AND BASIC PROCESS: MAIN ASSUMPTIONS AND STUDIES Emotion is an adaptive response of the body to the environment. The study of emotion is posterior to the rest of the basic processes in Cognitive Psychology. With its incorporation the interest in the interaction between cognition and emotion had grown. The aim of this presentation is to present the main assumptions and results of studies suggesting this relationship. We conclude that studies of this type are important for a proper understanding of the human cognitive system and psychological functioning of individuals with emotional problems of anxiety and depression.
