High manganese steel ingot with high equiaxial crystal ratio and smelting method thereof

2015
The invention discloses a high manganese steel ingot with a high equiaxial crystal ratio and a smelting method thereof. The steel ingot is composed of the following components in percentage by weight: 0.60 to 0.65% of C, 0.27 to 0.37% of Si, 17.50 to 18.50% of Mn, not more than 0.01% of P, not more than 0.0050% of S, 5.80 to 6.20% of Als, and the balance being iron and inevitable impurities, wherein the ratio of Mn to Al is 2.8 to 3.2. The smelting method comprises the following steps: adding waste steel into a vacuum induction furnace, electrifying the vacuum induction furnace, wherein the vacuum system is a two stage vacuum pump, and the process pressure is 10 to 40 Pa; observing the melting state of waste steel through an observation hole, after the steel is molten, blowing argon into the furnace, controlling the pressure in a range of 0.045 to 0.055 MPa, heating to a temperature of 1560 to 1570 DEG C, after melting, adding manganese iron, after 5 to 8 minutes, adding aluminum line segments, rotating the furnace to melt the alloy, and finally discharging the steel, wherein the whole process is vacuum casting.
