LO DIFERENTE: MIRADAS DE CINE LOOKING AT DIFFERENCE IN FILMS

2005
The presence of the interculture in the mass media, and specifically in the cinema, is one of the main engines of creation of states opinion and social conscience in the current society. The others and we on the screens they are a reflection, or rather mirrors, more or less distorted, of a complex reality that makes up guidelines and patterns of life. In this work it is presented an approximation to the world of the other facing ours, from now canonical, now dissident looks of the movie language. The image of the other in the cinema is reflected in a wide set of stereotypes of the different thing: projected identities, imaginary enemies, psychopaths and killers, bodies and minds out of the marginal rules, sexuality and genre, creatures of the great beyond, the theogony of the superheroes … That is, endless images not exhausted to use the cinema as an excuse to submerge in a society full of multiple tapestries and colours of identities. PALABRAS CLAVES: Cine, multiculturalidad, identidad, alteridad, lenguaje filmico, sociedad.
