Feasibility study of different scan mode to brain perfusion by MSCT

Objective To evaluate the influence to perfusion parameters and radiation dose by different scan mode. Methods To choose 21 patients whose results in cerebral ferfusion CT showed mormal. Among these patients, 8 patients underwent toggling - table technical with interval of 1 second, 13 patients underwent cine mode with continous exposure in 50 seconds. The other scan parameters were identical and the scanning range was 20 mm. Results of cerebral blood flow(CBF) ,cerebral blood volume(CBV) ,mean transit time(MTT) and radia-tion dose were statistically compared. Results Results of cerebral blood flow (CBF) , cerebral blood volume (CBV) and mean transit time(MTT) showed no difference by two different scan mode. The DLP by toggling - table technical was1065.38 mGy. cm which reduced the radiation dose by 48.9% than by cine mode with 1065.38 mGy. cm. Conclusions The ferfusion parameters with toggling - table technical and eine mode show no differ-ence, and the toggling - table technical can reduce the radiation dose.
