Electrical and Dielectric Behavior of Zinc Phosphate Glasses

2017
Abstract Samples of Zinc-Phosphate glasses and modified with CuO and CdCl 2 Zinc-Phosphate glasses have been prepared by melt quench technique. The influences of doping of CuO and CdCl 2 on electrical and dielectric properties of the glasses were investigated over a range of frequency of 100Hz - 1MHz and at a temperature range of 323-573K. It is observed that the values of ac-conductivity increases on increasing frequency and it is also increases on doping of CuO and CdCl 2 in zinc-phosphate glasses. The conductivity of all the glasses increases with temperature following the Arrhenius law. It is also observed that the values of dielectric constant and loss factor increases with the increase in temperature and decreases with increase in frequency in all the glasses.
